About
A comedy company that shows up
We are not a marketplace. We are a real, named crew that brings a genuinely funny, professionally run show into your building.
Put On Events started in 2020, built by Chicago comedian Tyler Ross out of years spent hosting events in apartment communities. The idea was simple: put a real comedian in the room, and a resident night stops being an obligation and becomes something people ask for.
Since then the crew has run 1,000-plus events across 64 properties and 17 states, for communities managed by names like Lincoln Property Company. Bingo, trivia, comedy, karaoke, classes, DJs, and outdoor movie nights, all hosted by people who do this for a living.
Who runs it now
Dylan Scott owns and runs Put On Events. An Oklahoma-born, Chicago stand-up and half of the comedy duo Commit to the Bit, his credits include the Edinburgh Fringe and HGTV's House Hunters. He books the crew, and often hosts the room himself.
